University Club, 1931 and 2013

The University Club was the place where Detroit's wealthy elite mingled over meals and cigars, discussing the issues of the day. It was a classic example of demolition by neglect, left to rot by its owner who plans to build a fast food restaurant on the location. A large fire in 2013 all but sealed the fate of the building, which was demolished in November of that year.
