Fredrick Douglass Academy / William S. Knudsen Junior High School

Opened in 1962 as Knudsen Jr. High School. At some point it was renamed for activist Fredrick Douglass, and was home to an all-male academy. The program eventually outgrew the school, which closed in 2007.

Sometime in the fall of 2009 the schools' anti-vandal system was breached, and Douglass has since been gutted.
