Fair Grounds Field

Fair Grounds Field is an abandoned baseball stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The 4,200-seat stadium was built on the site of the state fairgrounds in 1986 for $3.5 million dollars. For many years Fair Grounds Field was the home of Shreveport’s minor league baseball team, the Captains, until they relocated to Texas. From 2002 to 2011 the field was used by an independent baseball team.
