Unfinished Hotel
Permits for the construction of a Holiday Inn Express hotel just off of Interstate 75 were issued late 2003, and construction began in 2004. The project was plagued with construction issues and work was halted several times due to failed inspections by the county. The project was abandoned in 2007 and has sat vacant since.
