Originally built in 1923 as an ethnic meeting hall for Detroit’s Finnish population, this building on 14th Street went on to be the headquarters of a labor union and the offices of the local communist party. In later years it was a community center and a church before being abandoned. As of 2020 the building is being stabilized, but no plan for it has been announced.
Nailhed has a much more comprehensive article about the colorful history of this building.
