Weatherby Elementary School

Weatherby Elementary was a small school on the west side of Detroit. Built in 1955 and named for a respected educator and school principal of the 1900's, Weatherby focused on a computer technology based curriculum.

As recently as the mid 1990s, Weatherby was over capacity with over 300 students in building built for 250. By the time it closed in 2005, the student population had dropped to 144.
