The Brewster Project Townhouses are 16 multi-tenant buildings located on the southwest edge of the Brewster-Douglass complex. Sometime around late 2007 - early 2008, the townhomes were closed and boarded up.
In July of 2009, one of the townhomes burned down.
Another fire in April of 2010 burned down another row.
In 2012 the mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing, announced that the Brewster Douglass projects would be demolished to make way for a new development. Demolition began on September 4th, 2013.
