Engine 38 / Ladder 29

Engine 38 was one of the most remote and slowest fire stations in the city of Detroit when it closed in 2012. The station was built in 1915, and a ladder company was added in 1927. Ladder 29 closed in 2005. Engine 38 hung on until 2012, when it too closed as part of a city-wide consolidation of stations. The engine house was sold and converted into a private residence.
