Eighth / Sixteenth Precinct Police Station

There isn't much left of the sixteenth precinct police station at the corner of Grand River and west McNichols. In 2005 the station was closed as part of a broader reorganization of the Detroit Police Department intended to close a $30 million dollar budget gap. Of especially interesting note is that most of the prisoner-facing signage is trilingual - English, Spanish, and Arabic, reflecting the ethnic makeup of the area.
